Physiological And Psychological Impacts Of Quran

Quran does not give you only the religious and moral way of life. Besides affecting your spirit and soul, Quran also has an impact on your physiology and psychology. There are several researches and studies conducted, that prove the importance and impact of Quran on the physiology and psychology of human beings.

As per the research of Vaner Hoven of Neitherland, Muslims who are familiar with Arabic and read Quran daily, it protects them from psychological diseases. The implication of this studies, indicate the importance of Quran learning and having some knowhow of Arabic language.

Another research conducted by Yucel Salih entails that, prayers cause a statistical change in respiratory rate and body temperature, though these changes are not that much significant to validate the affect of prayers on physical condition. However, the study does support the hypothesis, that prayers bring a change in the physiology of a person.

University of Sal ford also conducted a research on the same grounds. In the research, the blood pressure, stress level and heart rate of 10 students were measured before and after the recitation of Surah Al Rahman and Surah Alam Nashrah of the holy Quran. The heart rate, stress levels, and blood pressure of the participants showed a significant decrease in their levels, after reading the Surahs of Quran.

A research was carried out on 10 Muslim students, which emphasized on living a good life. It increased their faith and made them relax. This shows the psychological implication of teaching of Quran.

Therefore, according to researches, Quran not only influences your spirit and enlightens your soul, but it also has impact on your physiological and psychological condition.
