Attitude of Taxi Driver and its Outcomes

Most of the taxi drivers face situations where the passenger is in a hurry, and is yelling at them to drive fast, and to reach the desired destination with any means necessary. This is the major dilemma faced by taxi drivers, and the resolution of it predicts whether a driver is a professional or some amateur.

Two types of responses can be seen in such a situation. Either the driver shows professionalism and does not break the rules, or the driver gets confused and breaks the rules, which result in trouble for the driver.

Professional taxi drivers, firstly, don’t give the chance to passenger to yell at them. They adopt the best possible and shortest route to a destination, so that the passenger does not get late. Even if there are chances of getting late due to traffic jam, the professional taxi drivers keeps his calm, and obeys the rules, no matter how much the passenger yells. Because, it is the driver’s duty to obey the rules, and not passengers, so he obeys traffic signals and does not try to perform any kind of stupid stunts.

On contrary, if it is an amateur driver, who does not know of the routes of the city. When he is in such a situation, where passenger starts yelling, and forces him to break the rules. He, out of confusion may break the rules, by going on a one-way road, or by not stopping at the signal. This may lead to different penalties, and even cancellation of driving license.

In the end, it is the attitude of the driver, which predicts the outcome of any such situation. If driver shows a professional attitude, then all ends well, and if an amateurish attitude, then the result is trouble and penalty.
