Controlling the Physical Changes Related to Menopause


Every healthy woman would face natural symptoms of menopause as they enter a certain age. With the changes in their internal bodily functions, women undergo numerous physical changes as well.

As women age, the production of the basic sexual hormone in them, the oestrogen, declines which leads to the storing of fat around the tummy region. Oestrogen causes us to accumulate the fat around the hips, but its deficiency results with other side effects.

As the body undergoes the hormonal shifts and it starts to build up fat in the tummies. This change in the body mass composition is also related with numerous side effects including risk factors for diabetes, hypertension, certain cancers, and cardiovascular diseases. Hormone replacement therapy is used for the treatment of hormonal imbalances.

  • Taking up less than 20% of the calories which were taken up at the age of 20.
  • Increase of the consumption of fiber and nutritionally dense food.
  • Make sure you start to evade the caffeine and coffee from your life.
  • Eat less fat and limit yourself to a maximum of 30-35 grams of fat per day
  • Exercise as often as you can.
